Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Just Properties Group ("Just Properties Group", "we", "us"), a B2B real estate hub in Mauritius. You can contact us about privacy matters via WhatsApp on +230 5259 6232, or through our contact form.

2. What we collect

This website has three forms. Each one collects something different, so they are listed separately.

The enquiry form on a property page

Every property page carries a short "Send an enquiry" form. It collects:

• Name
• Email address
• The free-text message you write, which we pre-fill with the name of the property you are looking at
• Which property you sent the enquiry from, so we know what you are asking about

This form does not ask for a phone number.

The quick enquiry form at /lead

This is the page every Contact link on the site points to — in the header, in the footer and in the mobile menu, on every page. It collects:

• Whether you are selling or renting out a property, or looking for one
• Name
• Phone number
• Email address (optional)
• If you are selling or renting out: property type, zone, whether you want to sell or rent out, and your asking price (optional)
• If you are looking: whether you want to buy or rent, your budget (optional), property type (optional), preferred zone and number of bedrooms
• An optional note
• Up to three photographs, if you are selling or renting out — which may show the inside or outside of your home

Any photographs you attach are sent as email attachments through Resend, the provider listed in section 4, and are retained in the enquiry inbox under the retention period in section 5. They are not stored in our enquiries database. If your browser has JavaScript enabled, photos are resized on your device before they are sent — this is done only to make the upload faster on a slow connection, not as a privacy measure: it is a resized copy of the photo that leaves your device rather than the untouched original, but a copy still leaves your device and is still transmitted and retained exactly as described here.

The partner application at /partner

This is the page every Partner With Us button on the site points to, and it is how a real estate professional applies to join our agent network. It collects:

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number (optional)
• Agency name (optional)
• Licence or BRN number (optional)
• Focus area — long-term rentals, resales, property management, or all of these (optional)
• An optional free-text note

Your agency name, licence or BRN number and focus area are combined into the body of the message we receive, because the system that stores enquiries has no separate field for them.

Your IP address

When you submit any of the three forms, our server reads the IP address the request arrived from and uses it to count how many submissions have come from that address recently, so that no single sender can flood us. It is stored only as part of that counter, for no more than 24 hours, and it is not included in the enquiry email and not stored alongside your enquiry. Separately, our hosting infrastructure automatically logs standard server information for every visit — including IP address, browser/user agent, and the timestamp of the request — whether or not you submit a form; those infrastructure logs follow Cloudflare's own log-retention policy, not ours.

3. Why, and on what basis

When you submit any of the three forms, your browser sends it to our server, which saves your details to our enquiries database and then emails them to Just Properties Group, so that we can respond — for example to call or email you back, arrange a viewing, discuss listing your property, or review your application to join our agent network. We process your details on the basis of the consent you give by voluntarily submitting the form.

4. Who else processes it

We use a small number of third-party service providers to run this website and handle enquiries:

• Cloudflare — hosts this website and serves it from its global edge network.
• Supabase — runs the server-side function that receives your form submission and hosts the database your enquiry is stored in.
• Resend — delivers the email containing your enquiry, and any photographs attached to it, to Just Properties Group's inbox on our behalf.
• The provider of Just Properties Group's enquiry inbox — every enquiry email is delivered to, and stored in, a mailbox run by an email provider, subject to that provider's own privacy policy.
• Unsplash — the property and lifestyle photographs currently shown on this website are stock images served directly from Unsplash's servers. Loading any page that displays one sends your IP address to Unsplash.
• WhatsApp (Meta Platforms, Inc.) — offered as an alternative, secondary way to reach us, from the footer of every page, from the bar at the bottom of the screen on a phone, and from each property page; if you choose to message us there instead of using a form, that message is carried and stored by WhatsApp's messaging service, subject to Meta's own privacy policy.

Beyond what's described above, we do not sell your data, and we do not share it with any advertising or analytics network.

5. How long we keep it

Your enquiry is held in two places: as a row in our enquiries database, and as an email (with any photographs you attached) in Just Properties Group's inbox. Both are retained only for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which they were collected, and no longer than is required by law, after which they are deleted unless you have become a client and the information forms part of an ongoing transaction record.

6. Your rights under the Data Protection Act 2017 (Mauritius)

As a data subject under Mauritius' Data Protection Act 2017, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Request erasure of your data
• Object to, or restrict, our processing of your data

7. Cookies

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, tracking or advertising scripts of any kind. When you save a property to your favourites, that list is stored using your browser's localStorage — it lives only on your own device and is never sent to us or to anyone else.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add a new feature that changes what data we collect. Any change to how this site uses cookies or analytics will be reflected here at the same time it goes live.
